The Centre of Excellence for CPEC has been established to serve as a practical bridge between research, policy, and implementation. Our purpose is to generate knowledge that is not only academically sound, but also useful for decision-makers, investors, institutions, and stakeholders working to advance CPEC and Pakistan-China cooperation. 

Our work is guided by the understanding that the next phase of CPEC will require sharper analysis, stronger partnerships, and more coordinated action. Issues such as trade competitiveness, industrial cooperation, investment facilitation, digitalization, regional connectivity, socioeconomic development, technology transfer, and skills enhancement demand continuous research and policy engagement.

As Executive Director, my focus is to position the Centre as an active platform for evidence-based dialogue and institutional collaboration. We will work with government bodies, Chinese and Pakistani think tanks, universities, businesses, development partners, and international organizations to produce policy briefs, research studies, working papers, dialogues, conferences, training initiatives, and partnership programs that respond to real policy needs.

The Centre will also place strong emphasis on outreach and dissemination. Research has value when it reaches the right stakeholders, informs debate, and contributes to better decisions. Through regular engagement, publications, stakeholder consultations, and collaborative initiatives, we aim to strengthen understanding of CPEC’s opportunities and support practical solutions to implementation challenges.

We welcome partnerships with national and international institutions that share our commitment to sustainable economic development, regional integration, and shared prosperity. Together, we can help shape a more informed, coordinated, and forward-looking CPEC agenda for Pakistan and the region.
